NEW YORK-Thread counts are rising again.
For this market, most vendors said a higher thread count on their sheet programs is the way to go. And it has everything to do with value.
As retailers think of ways to lure consumers back to the stores, vendors said they have to step up offering quality goods at the right price.
"We are continuing to add value by increasing thread count and cotton quality," said Jon Shavel, vice president of Shavel Home Products. "We are telling the story of Supima cotton, which lends itself to higher quality."
