Dec. 6--ARKADELPHIA, Ark.--Goodrich Corp., a Charlotte, N.C.-based aerospace manufacturer, plans to close its 300,000-square-foot plant in Arkadelphia and lay off 181 employees.
Goodrich told the workers of the decision Tuesday.
Gail Warner, manager of media relations for Goodrich, said Wednesday that the plant will remain open until August 2002.
Goodrich makes spare parts for airplane manufacturers such as Boeing Co. and Bombardier Inc. Warner said there are two plants in California that will absorb the work from the Arkadelphia facility, the ...
