INDIANAPOLIS -- With a four-year goal of raising $40 million for Special Olympics by 2003, Cingular announces it has successfully reached the halfway point by raising more than $20.4 million in two years. Donations raised in Indiana totaled $153,850.
Cingular Wireless will present the funds raised throughout the year at a dinner celebrating its Special Olympics USA partnership in Washington, DC on December 4. Cingular presented a check in the amount of $153,850 to Special Olympics Indiana during the John Wooden Coaches Luncheon in Indianapolis on Friday, November 23. The donation reflects 100 percent of the fundraising efforts in Indiana throughout the year.
