STANFIELD, N.C. -- Textron Fastening Systems has received a prestigious Voluntary Protection Programs (VPP) award from the Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), placing the company among an elite group of organizations. OSHA officials presented the award to Textron Fastening Systems - Avdel Cherry Operations in Stanfield, N.C., in late October for its exceptional health and safety programs.
Avdel Cherry's North Carolina facility has gone six years without a lost- time accident. It is one of only 43 North Carolina plants and one of only 745 facilities nationwide to be recognized as a VPP star site since the program's inception in 1982. ...
