Grayslake residents this weekend can get taste of a Christmastime event that has become a staple in many other suburbs.
Organized by the Grayslake Junior Women's Club, the inaugural Tradition of Homes Tour will run from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday.
Five festive Grayslake homes will be on the self-guided, go-at- your-own-pace tour. Each house will have hostesses offering treats such as apple cider and cookies.
In addition, one home will feature the singing of Grayslake High School's choir.
The home of Bob Slipke and Linda Wegge at 402 W. Trail will one of those on the tour.
