Dec. 6--Federal regulators have accused a Pompano Beach limousine company of misusing money solicited from investors.
In a civil complaint, the Securities and Exchange Commission alleged that 1-800-Get-Limo Inc., and its subsidiary, World Class Limousines Inc., raised $1.9 million by misleading investors and then misappropriated a significant amount of that money.
Based on the SEC's findings, a federal court issued orders to halt the company's operations and placed the limousine services operations and offices in receivership.
