2001 DEC 10 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- by Sonia Nichols, senior medical writer - Peer educator interventions among homosexual men are effective for increasing the use of sexual health services, but those interventions don't tend to change actual behavior, according to a new report.
Because behaviors are not changed, the transmission risk for diseases that can be spread through sexual contact, such as human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) and hepatitis B (HBV), remains high.
