PHILADELPHIA -- Reliance Standard Life Insurance Company (RSL), a subsidiary of Delphi Financial Group, Inc. , announced the availability of a Critical Illness benefit for group life policyholders that will fill the gap between disability and death benefits.
This supplemental benefit will provide a one-time, lump-sum payment to employees who qualify for waiver of premium benefits as a result of a total disability caused by covered life-threatening illnesses. The payment is equal to 10 percent of the employee's life insurance coverage, up to $100,000.
