NATIONAL PARKS of the WEST As more lands join our national park system, Sunset continues to update its big, beautiful book National Parks of the West. Since 1965 we have published two new editions of that authoritative title to reflect the West's growing park system: the current edition features 26 of these magnificent preserves, up from 20 in our first book.
And unlike the 1965 and 1970 editions, the present one uses color photographs throughout; only historical pictures appear in black and white. Maps and diagrams also highlight interesting geologic features, such as how the Colorado River cut the Grand Canyon.
