MINNEAPOLIS _ Randy Moss took a pass in the flat, 73 yards from the end zone, and hit the afterburners. He whooshed past three members of the Tennessee Titans' defense. All they saw was a purple vapor trail.
When Moss reached the end zone for the final score in the Vikings' 42-24 victory, fans in the Metrodome were on their feet, cheering wildly.
They sure did love him, for the time being.
Earlier in the game, Moss was booed. A lot. Every time he touched the ball, or even got near it, he was pelted with boos.
