The local LANZHOU ALUMINIUM CO. currently operates an aluminum smelter with an installed production capacity of 205,000 metric tons per year (mt/y) at Lanzhou city in Gansu province. And, the company is currently gearing-up to expand its output by another 150,000 mt/y in a second development phase.

As things currently stand, the company has completed a project feasibility, which has now been submitted to the state for approval.
