Dec. 10--WRIGHT TOWNSHIP, Pa.--A faint odor of burning metal lingers inside the factory of King Fifth Wheel Co. as the sounds of bubbly pop music, pumping through speakers, fill the drab building in the Crestwood Industrial Park.

The odor grows stronger after the factory workers, some of whom have been employed at the plant for decades, finish a break and get back to operating various mammoth-sized machines.
