Sitting on the veranda, under the palm tree, with the moonlight scattering across the softly rolling Caribbean tide, I saw something weird.
There were six bobbing white lights under the water, moving to and fro, giving the impression of some kind of alien invasion.
The gears in my mind seized as I tried to correlate what I know with what I was seeing.
Then I realized the lights were underwater flashlights, held by scuba divers out for an after-dinner swim through the coral neighborhood just offshore.
