MANILA, Dec 12 Asia Pulse - The proposed Mindanao railway system may now become viable following the election of more credible leaders in the Autonomous Region of Muslim Mindanao (ARMM) last month.
Transportation and Communications Secretary Pantaleon Alvarez said the long delayed railway system could finally take off the ground if negotiations with a Malaysian government-controlled consortium push through.
Alvarez said the Malaysian consortium has expressed interest in pursuing the railway project following the ARMM election hat was hailed a success by the influential organization of Islamic Conference.
