CHICAGO -- With a four-year goal of raising $40 million for Special Olympics by 2003, Cingular announces it has successfully reached the halfway point by raising more than $20.4 million in two years. Funds raised in Illinois totaled $942,420.
Cingular Wireless presented the funds raised throughout the year at a dinner celebrating its Special Olympics USA partnership in Washington, DC on December 4. A local presentation will be held at 11:30 am on Thursday, December 13 at Cingular's flagship store located at 170 West Ontario.
