FISHER, PREATE FIGHT ORGANIZED CRIME IN WASTE INDUSTRY

HARRISBURG, Pa., Jan. 22 /PRNewswire -- Warning that Pennsylvania's billion-dollar waste market presents a tempting target for organized crime, State Sen. Mike Fisher (R-Allegheny) and Attorney General Ernie Preate today unveiled a plan to prevent criminals from infiltrating the state's waste industry.

At a Capitol news conference, Fisher and Preate outlined a major legislative proposal that would impose more stringent licensing and disclosure requirements on Pennsylvania's waste industry.
