HAUPPAUGE, N.Y. -- Long Island business owners are still confident in the local economy. 34% of the respondents plan to expand, build or purchase a new facility on Long Island in 2002 according to the results of the Eighth Annual Long Island Economic Survey and Opinion Poll(C). The Survey was taken from a cross-section of approximately 6500 Long Island business owners, is conducted by Albrecht, Viggiano, Zureck & Company, P.C. (AVZ) and the School of Business at Dowling College.
The Survey highlights are:
* The confidence rating of the respondents remains the same as 2000. The
rating is based on a scale of 1-10 with 10 being the most confident.
