2001 DEC 17 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- NicOx S.A. announced that a pilot Phase II study has been initiated for NCX 4016, its patented nitric oxide-releasing aspirin derivative, following the publication of highly promising preclinical data.
The results were presented at the Scientific Sessions 2001 of the American Heart Association Congress held in Anaheim, California, November 11-14, 2001, in a presentation by Dr. Stephan Cook entitled "Nitric oxide-releasing aspirin reverses arterial hypertension and insulin resistance in eNOS-deficient mice."
