2001 DEC 21 - (NewsRx.com & NewsRx.net) -- SuperGen, Inc., (SUPG) announced that data from a study of its anticancer compound pentostatin (Nipent) shows that it is a major component of a novel, less-toxic regimen that also includes photophoresis and reduced-dose total body irradiation administered to cancer patients prior to allogeneic bone marrow transplantations.
The study was conducted at New England Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine, under lead investigator Kenneth B. Miller, MD, director of bone marrow transplantation.
