EPA Administrator Christie Whitman today was in Louisville, Kentucky to highlight EPA efforts to encourage Americans to seal their homes, saving energy, the environment and money.

Whitman discussed the ENERGY STAR(R) program during a visit to a Lowe's Home Improvement Warehouse, where she discussed different products bearing the ENERGY STAR(R) label that can help seal homes against winter weather. Lowe's is one of EPA's premiere partners in the ENERGY STAR(R) effort, a labeling program for energy efficient products.
