SEOUL, Dec 13 Asia Pulse - The same excise taxes levied on private golf courses will apply to public courses with 18 holes starting next year, the Ministry of Finance and Economy said Thursday.

The ministry said it plans to amend the Special Consumption Tax Law so that excise tax can be levied on the public golf courses from early next year.

Users of public golf courses will be subjected to 21,120 won (US$16) in special charges, including 12,000 won in excise taxes, 3,600 won in education and farm and fishery special taxes, and 1,920 won ...
