Doug Jones gets a kick out of the old timers who come into Bellingham Business Machines with an old typewriter that needs to be fixed: They don't expect much, but they bring their machines in anyway.
"They'll come in and say, 'You wouldn't know about this machine because I bought it from your dad years ago,'" Jones said. "But I remember working on those machines when I was a kid, and that's one of the things about this business that I love. It keeps the mind active."
