Jewish Defense League leader Irv Rubin and a Reseda man active in the militant group faced federal charges Wednesday of plotting to bomb a Muslim mosque as a ``a wake-up call'' to the Arab community in the aftermath of the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.
Rubin, 56, a former San Fernando Valley activist who now lives in Monrovia, and Earl Krugel, 59, were arrested late Tuesday after federal and local law enforcement officers raided Krugel's home in the 6400 block of Wilbur Avenue. Rubin was arrested as he drove to his home.
