Dec. 14--SMITHFIELD, VA--Some say the best tasting baked goods are made with love.
But it takes a lot more than love to build the world's biggest ham biscuit, which promises to be 8 feet in diameter.
It will take mathematic equations, 500 pounds of ham, a specially-constructed oven and several months of trial and error to create the record-setting delicacy.
The biscuit will be made Sept. 28, 2002, as part of the 250th birthday celebration of the town of Smithfield and the Smithfield Inn. Organizers already have spent months planning. Smithfield ...
