Different perceptions
According to a recent U.S. study, three-quarters of women and men in financial services are satisfied with their current positions and employers. Despite these high satisfaction rates, women report the existence of subtle discriminatory behaviours and practices.
The report by Catalyst, a non-profit research and advisory organization working to advance women in business and the professions, was based on a nation-wide survey of more than 2,200 women and men at seven leading securities firms. In addition, Catalyst conducted nine focus groups of women and men in three major cities.
