Add one more recruit to the war against terrorists in Afghanistan: G.I. Joe.
Hasbro's latest action figure - don't call it a doll - is G.I. Joe 10th Mountain Division, based on the Army unit at Fort Drum near Watertown.
About 1,000 real 10th Mountain Division soldiers have been in Central Asia since October, and at least 100 soldiers are in Afghanistan, working as a quick reaction force.
The division is proud of its reputation as "America's finest fighting force," said Maj. Brian Hilferty, its spokesman.
"Because of that reputation, G.I. Joe wanted to enlist for our team," Hilferty said. ...
