KATE Bush has told for the first time how she became so depressed she turned into a zombie addicted to daytime TV.

Singer Kate, 43, locked herself away for years - and spent much of her time slumped in front of the television at her Berkshire mansion.

Kate, famed for her No1 smash Wuthering Heights and five more Top 10 hits, reveals in her first interview for eight years: "I spent a lot of time sleeping.
