Just six months after its relaunch, Trio, the USA Cable digital network, is unfurling original documentary and acquired programming to help convince operators of its value as a digital-platform lure.
Wider distribution would help Trio meet its goal of reaching 30 to 40 million subscribers within three or four years. Trio currently has over 13 million subscribers.
In the first quarter of 2002, the network plans to premiere an original documentary special called Broadway Legends, featuring Matthew Broderick as host, as well as a series called The Score, which casts an investigative eye on the creation of film music.
