(Q) The era of e-business has emerged and evolved rapidly, and in some ways, the early enthusiasm seems to have waned a bit. From your perspective, where is e-business today?
(A) I think that e-business has gone through a normal cycle of birth and childhood, and now we're moving into the adult phase. The youthful enthusiasm of putting up a Web site and thinking that everything else will take care of itself has given way to the realization that e-business is about transacting business. So companies are really stepping back and taking a good hard look at what they want to do with e-business, and they are being more thoughtful about it.
