Rosemont is going to the dogs this weekend.
More than 140 breeds are represented at the Skokie Valley All Breed Dog Show continuing through Saturday at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center.
Approximately 6,000 dogs are on hand. Look for borzois, a breed originally from Russia; whippets; Doberman pinschers; Afghan hounds; Alaskan malamutes; Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs; Samoyeds; miniature schnauzers and Great Danes.
Even the Nova Scotia Duck Trolling dog is making its first entry at the show, said chairman Corinne Kehoe of Roselle.
