LEXINGTON, Ky. -- In a game in which University of Kentucky basketball players could have chosen to pad their scoring averages they chose instead to pad their assist totals, and that speaks volumes to head coach Tubby Smith.
UK set a single-game Rupp Arena record with 33 assists in its 118-63 win vs. Division II Kentucky State on Saturday before a crowd of 18,500 in Rupp Arena.
That means that 67.9 percent of UK's single-game Rupp Arena record 49 field goals came on assists. UK, which has won six straight games since a season-opening loss to Western Kentucky, came into Saturday's game assisting on ...
