The shark attacks are based on National Marine Fisheries Service not letting the longliner fishermen catch these man-eating creatures. My husband goes in the ocean every day; he shrimps for a living. The sharks surround the back of the boat and feed on the catch while it's still in the nets. Sometimes the nets get ripped up and have to be repaired, sometimes they are beyond repair or the tailbag (which contains the shrimp catch) is gone and must be replaced. Longliner fishermen are doing without their income, because they cannot catch the great thing called a shark.
