Audrey Hepburn was one of the most distinguished residents of Tolochenaz, the small village in Vaud whose authorities and inhabitants joined forces with the Audrey Hepburn Foundation to render homage to her life's work.
A busload of Japenese tourists pulls away from the Pavilion Audrey Hepburn. "Arigato!" they call, waving to Franca Price, 57, the museum's director. "Seventy to eighty percent of our visitors are from Japan," Price tells me. She believes it is because "Audrey Hepburn incarnated a simple elegance that is a strong part of Japanese culture."
