I noticed that in your Special Report in July, Mark Smith forgot to mention Strata3D Pro--in the past known as Strata StudioPro. Strata's 3D system has an implementation that allows for global illumination through its own renderer called Raydiosity. Although the tool isn't on the level of animation capabilities found in popular products such as Maya, PowerAnimator, Softimage and others, its rendering engine is still probably one of the best in existence.
Your article also mentioned that some of the software products use techniques that allow for radiosity calculations to be performed at a cost of only an additional few seconds per frame of animation. In the most ...
