Ampacet Corporation has signed a licensing agreement to market Shelfplus UV filter to protect the contents of blow-molded HDPE bottles. The new additive is based on Ciba Specialty Chemical's Shelfplus UV filter technology which blocks 90% to 96% of UV light up to 390nm with virtually no color effect on bottle appearance, executives said.
