You'll be out on a limb if you miss the Morton Arboretum's annual yule log hunt this month, organizers say.
This year, the Lisle facility offers two searches for the elusive piece of wood, one at 12:30 p.m. and another at 2:30 p.m. on Dec. 29.
"It's a charming family program and it fits into the nature of what the arboretum does," public relations coordinator Meredith Zelewsky said.
Visitors will be led on a hunt involving poetic clues that take searchers to the final location of the log, hidden somewhere in the arboretum's 1,700 acres.
