THE Mid Antrim big Open Show season commenced last Saturday with events held in Cullybackey and Ballymoney.
The Cullybackey Open Show attracted almost 400 birds for the seven classes, judges from the East Down Combine included P Brown, R McVeigh, C McManus and M Croskery. Best in Show was won by the Harryville loft of Alexander McMaster & Swann who had the Red Card in Old Hens while Best Opposite Sex was won by the home team of Russell Bros.
Visitor Alwyn Neill won both young bird classes and W & W Gilbert from Randalstown had Most Points in Show. Ballymoney ...
