AT TEXAS HEART INSTITUTE

HOUSTON, Jan. 31 /PRNewswire/ -- Francisco (Frankie) Rivera set a world record when he was supported for nearly eight months by a Thermo Cardiosystems Inc. HeartMate cardiac assist device while awaiting a heart transplant, Texas Heart Institute/St. Luke's Episcopal Hospital physicians reported today.
