The Government announced today that a further GBP3.5 million will be spent on a number of road safety projects designed to improve safety for children on local roads.

The DTLR has approved 28 bids from councils to introduce 20 mph zone traffic calming schemes and other measures around schools and in residential areas, where children are in danger from traffic.
