Dec. 28--Effective Feb. 1, Mary Angle will no longer run the San Gabriel and Lower Los Angeles Rivers and Mountains Conservancy. Her resignation is on the agenda for the Jan. 11 conservancy meeting.
Conservancy officials said Belinda Faustinos, chief deputy of the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy, will step in as the interim executive officer.
"There are a lot of different reasons. I was going to be leaving this summer anyway. It's just personal reasons," Angle said. "Let me say this job has been the most challenging job I've had."
