The restoration of a famous mural in the state Assembly Chamber has revealed a ghostly figure that can be seen only from certain locations in the room.
The elusive Civil War soldier has been appearing to some and hiding from others for 13 years.
This is the story of how he came to be.
The mural titled "The State of Wisconsin: Its Past, Present and Future" was created by artist Edwin Blashfield and placed in the chamber in 1909.
