The driver of a Greyhound bus had to make an unscheduled stop at the Travel Center of America in Hampshire at 12:04 a.m. Thursday when a few passengers became unruly and police arrested one of them on a charge of possession of marijuana.

David T. Smith, 20, of 11612 S. Loomis St., Chicago, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis with intent to deliver and disorderly conduct, according to a police report.

The driver told Hampshire police that he stopped the bus at the travel center on Route 20 when a few passengers began throwing spitballs at each other and he feared for his passengers' ...
