Skane Gripen AB, the Swedish conglomerate, has announced the sale of its entire musical instrument division to an investment group headed by Bernhard Muskantor. The companies in the division include United Musical Instruments, which consists of C.G. Conn, King Musical Instruments, Armstrong Woodwinds, Scherl & Roth, Benge Professional Brasses, and Artley Woodwinds, as well as Muskantor AB, Sweden's leading musical instrument distributor, two Scandinavian music retailers, and a 50% interest in Sonor percussion of West Germany.
