Jan. 2--Mayor Michael R. Bloomberg used his New Year's inauguration speech to urge corporations that have been leaving New York for New Jersey since the Sept. 11 attacks to remain in the city.
"To our corporate leaders, I urge you to strengthen your commitment to New York; this is no time to leave the Big Apple," Bloomberg told a crowd of 4,000 invited guests who braved 28-degree weather in an afternoon ceremony outside City Hall in Lower Manhattan.
