An Illinois television ad featuring the World Trade Center erupting into a fireball followed by a shot of the Sears Tower was mistakenly aired on a Springfield station in late October, creating some controversy in the state's gubernatorial race. The ad, which was created by the media firm Wilson Grand Communications, was produced for Republican Lieutenant Gov. Corinne Wood, who is running for governor in 2002.
