ABIX via COMTEX) -- New Zealand's economy derives a major contribution from the export activities of about 9,000 companies. Over 6,500 of these are exporters of goods and services worth under $NZ100,000 per year. The publisher of "NZ Business", Profile Publishing, has compiled a list of the top 100 export companies, in conjunction with the Export Institute of New Zealand. Selection for the list is based on the number of years companies have been exporting, the number of markets they reach, the total export sales per employee and the percentage of export sales against total sales.
