University of Kentucky basketball coach Rick Pitino, who already has offered a scholarship to University Heights Academy forward Isiah Victor, may be going for a matched set with Victor's teammate, 6-foot-9 Lamont Barnes.

Barnes is averaging 16 points and nine rebounds a game for University Heights, which is 16-1 and ranked eighth nationally in the USA Today poll.

University Heights assistant coach Terry Birdsong said UK and Duke have

begun heavily recruiting Barnes, whom he calls ''a true center.''
