The bank robbery charges against St. Paul rapper Lil Buddy are like something out of a music video, with scenes of a holdup at gunpoint and a police chase in a stolen Audi.
However, most people who know Andre Locke - who performed at Gov. Jesse Ventura's inaugural ball three years ago and gained exposure in national hip-hop media - say he did not pursue the kind of "gangsta" persona associated with many mainstream hip-hop performers.
