COMPAQ COMPUTER CORPORATION NAMES
JAMES W. GLANVILLE TO BOARD OF DIRECTORS
HOUSTON, Feb. 7 /PRNewswire/ -- Compaq Computer Corporation (NYSE: CPQ) today announced the appointment of James W. Glanville to its board of directors, increasing the total membership of the board to six.
Glanville, 66, has been a general partner at Lazard Freres & Co., a New York-based investment banking firm since 1978.
"Jim's business experience will be an invaluable asset to Compaq's board of directors and we look forward to his contributions as we enter the 1990's," said Rod Canion, president and chief executive officer.
