"TAKING CHARGE: NEW VOICES, NEW VISIONS"

OAKLAND, Calif., Feb. 8 /PRNewswire/ -- Black Filmmakers Hall of Fame Inc. announced today the inductees, honorees and corporate sponsor for the 17th Annual Oscar Micheaux Awards Weekend on Feb. 24-25. According to Mary Smith, president, this year's theme "New Voices, New Visions," is a salute to the new generation of independent African American filmmakers who are willing to take risks and do it "their way."
